I would just calk it up to d bag mitsu owners. Not saying all are but I have never once had a warm response from one EVER! Even just walkin down the street and complementing a owner as they stepped out of the their car or thumbs up driving down the road. I get middle fingers, whatever responses or they look away every time.

Other than that, a mild rev to say hello is always worked out for me. I get em at least once a week going to work and people yell at my girl to rev her FRS once in a while as well. when people want to race they usually just yell and ask if I want to race....... my reply "no thanks. I can risk a ticket."

i agree... probably cuz of roids haha

as to the OP, i don't think revving and tried to have fun with the evo was appropriate.. a honk would have been more ideal..

well, the bmw dbag stereotype has to come from somewhere

actually, now that i think about it, once i was in my camry and i was going home on the highway and i like to drive along next to people and just match them and see how long till they notice. This time, there was a couple and about 5 minutes in, they noticed what i was doing. then for the next 15 miles or so we just had fun and when it was time to break off, i gave them a wave and they smiled back and that was that. certainly made the trip go faster

I was trying to speed up to him to compliment him because I really liked his ride. Got up to him and put it in manual revved and gave him a thumbsup! no response so i casually drove off. he pulls up to me at a light and rolls down his window and before I can say hey man nice car! He screams! IF YOU EVER GET THAT CLOSE TO ME AGAIN I WILL FUCK YOU UP!.... I was just trying to say nice car bro. oh btw his license plate was was STY LOL. obviously not lolworthy.
SO.... what did i do here? i thought most people were down to zip around a bit? its not like i was doing 100 or anything??
yea i know cool story bro
the best part of being an asshole is you get to sit there watch OTHER people getting mad/pissed off. it's entertaining.

If he had that kind of reaction he obviously couldnt afford his car and mods and he's paranoid about his car getting damaged cuz he cant afford to fix it. or his peepee is small. either way, should have called the cops saying he threatened you and mention that he possibly could have been armed

In my opinion, you did nothing wrong. You revved to get his attention, gave him a thumbs up and a smile (I assume). It's his small penis that got offended. Sorry, but that's the truth. A lot of these guys think they're all bad ass, but they're not. They're scared little boys who didn't get the attention they deserved from their parents. Why else would they try to make their car the flashiest thing out there?

Most car enthusiasts are nice, I've found. Every now and then you get these "ride or die" assholes. Just let it go. He's a **** and anyone who tries to defend his reaction is in the same class. If it is a direct result of "personal experience" then perhaps he has brought that on himself by making his car the flashiest thing out there.

Sorry, but I have no patience for people who like to stroke their egos.

Personally, i like it when people rev their engine at me and get my attention because i have a modded/nice car. I mean it comes with the territory, you cant not expect attention if you drive something worth respecting. If someone wants to race me, i usually politely decline. If they come at the light next to me, and are like "wana race?". im like, "nah, im not fast! but i like your car! have a nice day!".

But that's just me, i'm a super patient person and i generally respect everyone unless they personally give me a reason not to.

One time i was with my wife in the rx7 on the highway, a kid in a eg civic came up and reved its engine, and pulled ahead. I figured hey, he wants a quick throttle race..ill ablige.. He beat me, and pulled up next to me and he said "you lost!" i responded, with a thumbs up and a smile, and he responded back with a thumbs up and a smile and said "i like your car!" just before he pulled away and exited off the highway.

So many people could have stroked their ego in this situation, to me its was just fun and games against two enthusiasts, and not worth disrespecting each other. I hope this kid learned to be respectful to other people from how i treated him, even if he was the one that challenged me.
