I checked more closely on mine today. Looks like a black mirror. But I did just wash, clay and wax her a few days ago, so yeah.

I don't even think anyone would want to wet sand the factory paint on a subaru. Or any new factory paintjob for that matter. The clear coat would be toast by the time u got it evened out and maybe even the color would need a respray if it was super thin.

If you don't want orange peel, go buy a $100K car. Problem seems overblown.

See, if you bought a Hot Lava (orange) FR-S with orange peel you wouldnt have even noticed it.

A random orbital buffer with a fine cut buffing compound would correct that in a jiffy. I guess they were pressed for time at the factory because that is the type of correction QC would normally fix.

My TRD wing matches my OEM paint color perfectly, hell it's even better painted than factory since it doesn't have that nasty orange peel.

The Rich man version of these problems: "WAAAH WAHHH, I CAN SEE THE CARBON FIBER WEAVE THROUGH THE THIN PAINT ON MY VINTAGE F40 AND THE PANEL GAPS ON EITHER SIDE DOOR IS NOT EQUAL AND AND AND AND, NO DOOR HANDLES OMFG!!!"

It's like half the people who bought this car bought it for all the wrong reasons and being anal about things that don't matter. LIKE OMG, IT'S A NEW CAR AND THIS AND THIS AND THIS ISN'T SUPPOSED TO BE LIKE THIS. It's like the guy who walks into the store complaining "YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I SPEND HERE?!"

Here's your Ferrari: factory orange peel on a $250,000 car. Who gives a shit?

I learned what orange peel was on the internet.

I don't even know how bad mine is. I don't care.

yup..I mean I cannot tell really on my car if it is there or not, but regardless you have to be up on the car to notice it most of the time. I daily drive my car, I have come to facts that it is going to get beat up most likely. Even less than a month of owning it, chipped windshield. First time every happening to me. Orange peal sucks yes but it isnt the end of the world.

Sucks but it's not the end of the world. My WRX had multiple paint problems from the day I bought it. I was actually thankful when I hit an animal and got a new front bumper out of it.
