got my car this avo after R4700 speaker upgrade on top of R5300 radio upgrade... Sad to say is a helluve lot better but still not high spec VW Sound... Considering amp and sub now... never thought i would and there goes more of my boot... but hey we supposed to enjoy all aspects of the car... right?...

I had a similar experience ... Installed a radio and new speakers in my prado.... Improvemnet was not as great as anticipated...installed an amp and 8" sub and now very satisfied with the sound.

Engine compartment mods

Completed my engine make over,
86 oil cap from Grimspeed
TRD oil filter
Carbon vinyl tower braces red
Tanabe tower strut brace from FT86 Speedfactory
Red silicone intake from Zeta Performance
Works air filter from 86ZN6
Master cylinder brace from Beatbush
Hoping to get her onto a dyno shortly to check the gains.

Good question but I dont know the answer ... i read somewhere on this forum about disconnecting the battery but didnt read thoroughly. I know for the 20valves they used to do this...and then tramp it for a couples of km's once reconnected

I will not disconnect battery now, ride it for a few days, but when I do Dyno then I will disconnect.

The engine has more of a ticking sound while idling, when you hit the throttle you hear a sucking sound. Have not taken her out yet pouring with rain here. hopefull stops and I get a gap to ....
