Personally I think $32,000 is reasonable for the high trim. Saying that I also plan on securing a full time job before I purchase one tho...I'm just finishing up College fyi.

The msrp in the states was around 11.5k.. where did your numbers come from? And how does that correlate to the united states ?

If it is 28k + out the door for decent equip, then It wont be the car for me then. I will still love the car, but IMHO its not a close to 30k car. Sorry I said it The FT86 IMHO is not a $30k car. Now hate me.

I agree with you. And consider that the £28K I quoted at the beginning of this thread was £28K Sterling which is the price being quoted in the UK press.

http://www.autocar.co.uk/CarReviews/...-spec)/260227/

That is a considerable cost for what is on offer.

32K would be to high for me even in high trim. For that price I can buy a new Mustang GT with the track package and have enough money left over to buy some stuff from Ford Racing.

Understand that cars cost different amounts in each country. different taxes, trade agreements, people's pay cheques... etc.

From what I've noticed so far. All in U.S $ with on road costs
US - 25-26k on road
Australia - 37-38k
Japan - 33-34k
Canada - 34-35k

What do you guys think ?

Have a look at this website for the rrp of all cars in Aust, just to compare on other
cars. Www.redbook.com.au

A £28k price tag would definately stifle the success it could have in the UK, I would think twice at that price.

Very negative response from potential UK customers if the pricing is to be believed...

I still hope the pricing quote was for the top spec full fat version....

if your assumption is true, again the world outside the US is screwed, and we sponsor the low prices in the US of A

For me, I really hope it costs minimum 28.000 $ in the US

Just sucks. The Aust $ is now on par with the U.S $. years back it was 20-30cents less. But we still are paying top $.

Different countries, different economies. That's life !

Way too high for Canada - Toyota and Scion Canada do not mark up so much against US prices, so probably 10% more than US price: $28-30k range.

We do not know performance figures yet. Maybe they are out of this world. If not, then 30.000 € is quite high. But all the other faster and cheaper cars are not RWD and that is the problem for me. Here in France a Hyundai Genesis Coupé (MY2011) costs 32.990 € for the 2.0T and 35.990 € for the 3.8 V6.

Scion has the best military discount and some of the best financing options so that's a great benefit for me.
