Because people pay extra for the brand. Probably same reason why the perrin ones are more expensive too. Why I love Motiv

I guess, i don't consider Invidia to be a top line brand though their front pipes don't look near as good as Motiv, they are shiny but that's about it.

Hey Joe,

I think I remember reading somewhere you ran an overpipe and downpipe with the stock exhaust. Was wondering if you felt any change in power.

Im trying to figure out the best route to go. Either catback exhaust or over/down pipe combo.

Anyone know how restrictive the stock muffler is?

My car only has the motiv overpipe and front pipe right now with stock catback. If you want sound, go catback but the power gains i think are closer to the motor.

Honestly sounds isn't what I care about. But from a purely scientific point of view it seems the overripe and front pipe are the two most restrictive items behind the header cat.

So it sounds like you agree with me. Any chance you have a sound bite from your car? Purely for the WAF factor. I have looked at so many threads on this forum about this that I have lost track.

I have the Invidia N1 and Invidia Catless Frontpipe. I don't think the quality was questionable at all. Of course, you can't really go wrong with a catless pipe...

Since you got rid of 1 of the cats did your car throw a CEL? Would the car still pass smog? Also any change in sound at all? Any sound clips?

No cel, there aren't any sensors in the overpipe or front pipe. It does sound a little better but still very quiet except a little growl on cold start.

Awesome. I want a deeper sound but nothing annoying. Just want the car to sound mean just a stock mean type of sound like the older G35 coupes or a stock M3 etc just a mean stock sounding car.

+1 for Motiv. I got their Overpipe & Frontpipe. Top quality, can definitely feel a difference.
