The TRD intake arrived and fixed today. It is designed just like the stock oem intake except for being bigger with more airflow allowed.
![]() ![]() I also deleted the sound-generator when fixing this intake. The delete kit was part of this cold air intake system. ![]() Took the car for a test drive after installing it and my impression is as follow: * It doesn't make power as the previous Injen intake used to at top-end. But, it surely has more torque and pull in low and midrange * The part-throttle driving is much refined than both the Injen and the stock intake systems and this is due to the oem design of the kit * The TRD CAI is makes a nice deep stockish sound and is not as ricey and loud as the Injen intake * I'm very happy with my choice and I think it's money well-spent Dyno is coming soon inshalla

Took to her to the dyno last night. It was a very hot and humid night
![]() ![]() Did a couple of runs. First was 171whp 138wtq and the second was 172whp 140wtq ![]() ![]() ![]() Just to remind you, the base run was performed on the same dyno on better weather conditions and recorded 145whp 130wtq. I'm still running a stock tune for now. I guess, with this grade of fuel (91 octane), the car might make another 10whp with a proper tune

sexy and simple.. just the way i like.. i saw your car in person in Open drag - Drift day (last season) and i told my friends, this is one hot 86! (mashalla)
concave wheels really lookin nice on the 86, but if am were you i would pick the 2 rear wheels face for all 4 corners (square setup). surprised how the intake increase HP in the 86, in 350z intake usually kills few hp. Last edited by JDMluv; 09-24-2013 at 03:26 AM. |
