BOTH replies from dealership and SOA are cookie cutterish any way you looked at it. But the fact that one source says they didn't know about it (fair enough) and the other one says "We are are aware of these concerns and are working on it through processes yada yada...", then its a no-brainer why I would be "happy" (more like relieved, glad) big SOA is admitting (sort of) to this and a solution is on the way.

For those keen on statistics.....Hundreds is conservative estimate with all the known issues combined. I should had been more specific, it is approaching 100 on the CEL issue alone. The CEL list on one of the links I provided is now approaching 80. There are couple more blogs online, YouTube online with cars (mostly FRSs) with same issue, there are two other separate BRZ or FRS forum websites recording similar issues.

Peace out guys...I will provide an update here or the TSB once I hear back from SOA when they have a more permanent fix on the engine issues/CEL issues.
Thank you for your continued updates! I'm always reading this whenever I can, hoping there's a permanent solution soon rather than later.
A member of this forum had 6xxx miles on their vehicle and just got the CEL/slip-light recently...
So it seems to me like no one is really out-of-the-woods just yet from this potential issue; regardless of mileage...

For the rest of us, the time bomb just keeps ticking...
(Don't get me wrong though; keep driving your cars and have fun with them; I'm just hoping there is an answer soon for the guys and girls with their CEL problem...Gives everyone a peace of mind)

Cheers! :happy0180:

Sales can not be made when a customer has objections. Objections thrive when resisted/dismissed and perish when they are addressed.
they will just generally refer you to service, and drop the ball! sales should care but to prove your point, they DON'T! the hand they play, is the car is in very high demand, and leave you to your own devices!..just sayin'

yes this is sometimes true!.i just checked yesterday with a service manager from nashua toyota, and his screen tells him that there are ''zero" (t.s.b's) on this car,and i saw this info for myself!..go figure!

Just because you read something on the internet doesn't make it true.

true pass it up the line! give ya your money back, and sell the car anyway!
scuttlebutt says turnover on this car is approx. 9 days in the industry.this comin' directly from the dealers!

reconsider my purchasing decision until these issues are properly addressed.i have faith
that toyosubaru will make the correct repairs going forward! funny! i am checking various service departments at scion dealers, and they indicate no (t.s.b.'s) being issued on this car! coverup perhaps?

TanMan - good luck getting the issues with your car resolved. Keep us posted on how long the repair took, and if the problem comes back again. Also let us know how the dealership treated you during the warranty process.
