Not to mention you can send in turbos for warranty work minus housings to save on shipping cost i do it all the time.
That's not 100% entirely correct. Garrett at any time can ask for you to send the entire unit before they will warrant the repair. If they see that the housing is modified in any way, they can choose to deny the warranty, based on the warranty agreement signed by purchasing the part.

It's extremely unlikely that they would do this, but it is possible.

Youre also most likely to send a unit to one of the 6 Performance distributors than directly to Garrett. Since Garrett really wont take a unit directly in most cases. I generally have used the same repair facility for over a decade and have rarely had a denial on warranty. On the other hand i have had plenty of units that i just paid for repair because i know the customer i sold it to out right destroyed it and there was no hope for warranty. Sometime you know its wasnt your fault other times just give it up and pull out the wallet.

To me, the best setups out there are the low-mount setups. I know, they use a scavenge pump, which tend to be pretty unreliable (in some cases). But the utilization for the factory header/cats means less headache for emissions compliance. Plus it is really low-key, and the skid plate should prevent too much water from hitting the turbo and cracking the housing. Hopefully that casting is thick enough to prevent this, but the SS housings tend to be a little bit thinner. I think issues should be rare though tbh.

What type of scavenge pump are you guys planning on using? Also, what about injectors?

The AP kit and this one look great. Keep up the good work!

This kit comes with a tune and a GTX turbo. That there makes it cheaper than the AP offering, even though they are mostly the same.

I love the setup, but I'm still waiting for dyno results as well. I think the GTX2863r is perfect.

Tuning this week. We had to put our car back to stock to get all those new E85 tunes setup and a few other custom tunes for non local customers. But kit is ready for tuning now.

Business 101. The price is directly related to production capacity. AVO expects to sell more kits at a lower price point, instead of less kits for a higher price. Their manufacturing costs are probably less as well.
