I too found this annoying. Ordered 4 of these which arrived today: https://flyinmiata.com/products/fm-jack-adapter
Using the narrower slot on the FM jack adapter it will stick (press fit) to certain areas of the pinch weld on a GR86, luckily it seems to coincide with the lift points using a 5000TL.

These are cheap so I'll give them a shot but in my heart I know... I'm gonna do something stupid with magnets
