I am sorry, 2.00 billion personal wealth to 18.00 billion is just terrible performance..

There are many who have made a lot of money, particularly riding a phenomenon such as the mining boom, but to sustain that rate of capital gain over many years is unheard of, particularly playing the stock market as one of the forum members suggested.

agree
I agree with you. But I have never said that is easy! As for everything it takes a lot of work, knowledge, luck, risk and money! Not everyone, regarless of their willingness or knowledge to make money is open to take these kind of risks. Sorry if I painted an overly optimistic image here.

Thats how people get into never ending debt! I simply suggested a bit of consideration when it comes to spending. At the end of the day it is his money! Creating wealth is not easy! |

Can everyone stop talking about investing the money, 80k is what I have decided i can loose on a car, it isnt my life savings and I already stated that I have a secured future. Life is short there's no point in making money if you dont spend it.

In my 20s, when I started making decent money ($120k +) I dumped a lot of money on everything including cars and motorcycles Now in late 30s, I figure that I have to retain my lifestyle until I die As a consequence am busy paying off my mortgage & squirreling away money, so 86 will be enough car for the next 4 to 5 years, hence talk of investments |
