MT is and always be more engaging. Yes its more of a pain if you're in traffic and driving slow but the upsides of driving MT in the open roads is worth more than AT.
I own an AT (I just bought this car as a beater) and in manual mode, it shifts super slow and the gearing is really long it seems like. If I want lightning fast shifts, I have an R8 for the weekends . Most people don't care for a MT anymore as they used to but someday in the near future, MT will be gone forever and everyone will miss it. |

You don't want a newer car if you are seriously planning to learn to drift in it.
Honestly the best way is to have two cars. A beater that you drift and dont mind wrecking and your daily. You will end up putting it into a curb/wall/pole/ect. Older cars are cheaper at the start. Usually easier/cheaper to fix. The Zs are cheap now. Bigger torquier motor. I love how this thread has gotten so off topic. OP wants a car they can daily AND drift. NOT just a daily. |

Other than that, most clutches last well into 100k mi unless you're really, really abusive to it. Outside of that, most of the maintenance is similar to anything else of the same age/mileage
