the secret is to take your time and not rush it.. i always need to do touch ups here and there because i painted to far or not enough, keep working the part till its perfect and you are happy with it

I've been following this thread as u would no from all the likes and I love what you're doing and what you've done. Looks amazing.
I start of patient on these thins then get fed up. Haha.
Patience plays a major roll in this sort of thing.
Just like waiting for an 86...

You dont have to but i like to use a fine scotchbrite for the paint to stick well especially if you are going to use tape on it at anypoint. If not the paint will peel off withthe tape. I always let the body dry about a week before handling just to make sure. More to come with pics tomorrow night!

@Silverdub, would you recommend sanding paint that was hand brushed? i think i may have painted it a little thick.

I just dropped an order for the Aoshima kit, which is out now. Has the LHD parts and FR-S decals.

Another option to check out.

Wow, very nice work OP!

You give me inspiration to start on those old muscle car models I have lying around . Maybe I'll work on those, and then hope for that GT 86 model to come down in price some. ($45 dollars for a model, are you kidding me?!?)
