Because people want to immigrate it means they like Americans in their own country? Wow naive.

Face it, would anyone today wanting in to the US agree to this if they didn't like America and her citizens? Naturalization Oath of Allegiance to the United States of America: "I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty, of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen; that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I will bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform noncombatant service in the Armed Forces of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by the law; and that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; so help me God." |

That got me thinking about the citizens of other liberal Western nations I've met over the years and four Continents. Not one has ever expressed any interest in moving to Canada. Even Prince Harry bailed. Other Commonwealth nations, yes, including me (Oz girls love Yanks). I don't know why, I've many Canadian friends and one grandparent from there who maybe wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer but likeable enough. |

![]() Looks like a Ft Bragg training area. Nice weapon, is that a M4A1 with a M203? I can't make out the unit patch - most likely an airborne unit? |

Yup, Ft. Bragg training out in the woods. I think Long Street took us straight there. Unit patch was 82nd Airborne, of course! M4A1 w/ M203. I hated that thing so much till I got to actually shoot it

I never jumped out of an fixed wing aircraft before, but, I did get dumped out of several helicopters. I remember the M-79 grenade launcher. It was a hell of an improvement over my troops fumbling around with the pineapple grenades - ![]() Yep, the M4A1 + a M203 must be a pretty versatile weapons system. Reminds me of a short barreled over and under I have that I used for "general" shooting around in the woods. It's a .22 Winchester RFM over a 20 gauge shotgun barrel. You can either shoot a crow or a rabbit whichever pops up. I put a scope on top of it and learned the hard way, to pay attention if I was firing the rifle part or the shotgun part -
