I can't drive with anything in my pants pockets, it's horrible. I think it's actually bad for posture too.

When I drive I just take my pants off for this very reason...jokes aside minute I get in my car wallet comes out of my pocket and goes in the center council. Unless its winter then I keep it in my jacket pocket.

My wallet doesn't bother me when I'm driving, it's in my right pocket though so maybe having that little bit of added elevation on that side actually helps.

I'm the same way. No wallet or phone in pockets.

I did that hundreds of times until one day when the car lurched and a 150 pound 58 Chevy door slammed onto my leg.
Never again...

Must be hard driving with a half gallon of your favorite beverage in your front pockets.

Even worse after you have drank the half gallon and still have to put it in your pocket.

Still sounds easier than driving with a half gallon in your bladder.

That is why, after a while, you put it in your pocket.

I crashed mine the other day...

...at 2mph into an invisible curb inside a poorly-designed multi-level parking structure.

Who designs a structure with narrow passageways for cars where you need to hug the right wall in order for cars to go by in the other direction, then on the third or fourth turn up the structure puts an 8"-10" curb jutting out away from the wall that's literally impossible to see from the driver's seat, isn't marked with anything, and exists for no fucking reason at all? (There's no door, ticket kiosk, connecting walkways for peds, or anything at all inside that curb, for reference)

I was super-duper mad.

The only good news? It's the same rocker panel (I guess it's like half the side of the car, not a rocker panel, but I digress) that got dinged up on the lift when I took the car in for servicing. So I guess I'll finally be rid of that 1" scratch, at least.

Can't even see that 1" scratch anymore.

Sucks so much!

Whilst a nice low sports car has many advantages I do worry about the kind of thing you just had... slipping under other taller cars’ bumpers if you do have an accident.
At a higher speed this could’ve been much more nasty!

Clutch dumped, spun the tires, and launched the car less than 8 feet into a pole (pole's sole purpose was to prevent a car from hitting the hot water heater - it worked). $5500 in damage to the car.

Lol I thought I was the only one dumb enough to have done something like that. Started backing up, realized I had to hit the brake to stop, had a moment of panic when I realized that my right foot couldn't leave the clutch to brake, right hand on steering wheel, left hand holding door. Took a second or two to decide my hand didn't need to be on the steering wheel and used the ebrake just in time to save it from my parents basketball hoop. Crisis averted, I let my foot off the clutch completely forgetting to take it out of gear first...
