There was only one dealer that would go $2K below invoice, but every other dealer would go at least $1K below invoice. That should be doable just about everywhere in the SF bay area, and probably SoCal. Some dealers may go lower.

Model year: 2017

Trim: Series.Yellow

Type of Purchase: Cash

Color: Yellow

Upgrades/Options: Performance Package (granted this comes standard) and what they call "option 3" which is pretty much also standard. gives you wheel locks, plastic trunk mat thing, and some other stuff.

Price Paid (before TTL): I'm not sure what I paid before TTL. I only negotiated using OTD. I paid 28.4 OTD. So I'm guessing around 26.4K for the car itself. An absolute steal from the original 31.5K MSRP. I'm good at negotiating.

Dealership/Geographical Area: Gillman Suburu North; Houston, Texas

already got 450 miles on it in 3 days (it had 100 on it when I got it). many more to come Smiles per gallon.

thanks dude. The trick was having 3 different dealers with the exact same call. I dealt with all 3 over emails. never gave me a phone number. all I did was send dealers quotes from others. and push for 27K OTD lol. I had all the leverage.

Thanks for sharing and congrats on your new ride! That's exactly what I will do when I am ready to pull the trigger - negotiate mostly via email before even stepping foot into a dealer. I guess that's the advantage of buying one from dealer stock, much easier to negotiate a killer price.

What is invoice on the 2017's? Where is a good resource to find this data?
