19k would be awesome. 20k sounds reasonable. 25k sounds like the guy wants more money off of you. And 27k€ sounds kinda on the dot for them. Eu and I think Au(?) have a really high car tax (I believe it was 20-30% increase in price from how much a US car would cost. Someone correct me if I'm wrong).

I know a friend in Portugal that has to pay 90% of the cost his car as a car tax or owner's tax.

Different markets, different pricing. As Giccin pointed out, European countries have way higher 'wheel' taxes than here in America, that inflates the final sales price of the car.

@$25,000 for the base model, Subaru will have a hard time selling these suckers...especially when, at that price, you can get the AWD WRX from the same dealer at the same price.

This. Europe always pays more than the US for the same car. Even Canada gets shafted compared to the US on Subaru models.

How about MSRP 19K for the 2.0 N/A and then 25K for the 1.6T in the US market. I think most can live with that.

If the turbo ever makes it here. NA would be a steal. Just save up and put a SC on after warranty.

True, assuming all rumors were confirmed. Wouldn't this be great?

2012 2.0L NA BR-Z = 19K

2013 1.6T BR-Z = 25K

2015 1.6T BR-Z STI = 30K

RRnold that turbo needs to come down to 22k instead of 25k. If you pay 6k more it better come with a sport package with the 1.6t.

STI would have what in addition? Better LSD, Recaros, lighter wheels, maybe some aluminum/carbon fiber body parts?

Yeah that's too much of a price hike. Maybe 19K base, 22K Premium and 25K Limited and 30k STI similar to the current WRX lineup.

I doubt CF but probably have upgraded suspension, brembos, BBS wheels, the typical STI exterior aero and some interior details like alcantara, steering wheel and stitching.

This!

As I know people even import e. g. BMWs, MBs and so on from the States because they are cheaper to get there!
