Try to stay on the subject and talk about exhaust manifolds. Can you provide examples of aftermarket companies that provide both a thermal coating paint and a metal heat shield? I have not seen any! The best I have seen is some wrap material in the Fujitsubo brand, which personally I find it much uglier on the final product and easier to unwrap after some years:

Either you like the welds or not, the final result should always be the function. This is what is important at least for me.

I am posting a before and after dyno of the throttle body change. It is not mine, but it is on a similar stock car. As mentioned already, most of the gains are on the high rev range and it is best to use a tune to utilize its potential.

The gain on the flywheel is about +8 PS. You need to increase the RPMs.

Personally, I'll install tomorrow a tune that will increase the rev limit to 7600 RPM in gears 1-3.

I installed today the '17 header. I didn't have a chance to test it yet, because it still smells and the road was crowded and it had rain. My only remark for the moment is that the car is definitely louder in range 2500-4000 RPM.

So again, I presume this is more marketing material, since it's not from your own car?

It is not marketing material. A dyno is a dyno. If you mean that vendors can cheat and manipulate numbers, yes I agree. However, this can be done in a local tuning shop too. I've met many tuners who try to underestimate the work of others and praise their own work. After a point it's about who you trust.

Updated first page with latest changes. Cosworth tune tested together with the new exhaust manifold. Did some logging and everything works perfect.

I should be getting my variation of the Cosworth stage 1 set up in January. Will be nice to have the various EcuTek features. Keep us posted on how it holds out for you.

Not much news. I tested last time the changes on the autobahn and it pulled on par with a Porsche Boxster (261bhp).

Now is covered for the Winter. Cover is a Subaru part (M001SCA000) and fits perfectly:

Is this new 2017 OEM factory headers?
I am curious because I thought that OEM header is not painted and so should have bare metal finish.

How much did you pay for it?

This is quite interesting option as I thought I am the only one who cares for the heat sheild. I love heat shield that featured withthe OEM header. I don't want the heat to radiate all over the engine bay and ruin nearby engine components. Also, the heat soak will skyrocket very fast with the bare header during the traffic jam!

Yes it is the +'17 OEM factory header. The new models don't get it in Europe and aftermarket (catted) headers is not an option either. Cost was approximately 150.000 JPY including shipping fees. I ordered everything from japanparts.com. If you don't want to order from Japan, try to find some used one.

FYI, the heat shield pieces are coming separately. I asked if it was possible to get the header with the shield installed, but it was not an option. It looks that they install the pieces in the factory when manufacturing the car. Fitting the different pieces is like a small puzzle, but in the end I figured how to do it correctly.
