Odd compliments you've received about your FR-S/BRZ

Only posting in here and not the other thread because the whole situation was odd.

It was about 2am and I pull up to a red light, older guy waiting for the bus, drinking a budlight margarita tall boy, and does the roll down Windows sign. He comes closer while being drunk and looking like a mess, says "HOW FAST DOES IT GO?!", I proceed to try and explain how it's not and he goes "NOT AS FAST AS YOU'D LIKE IT. BOYS RULE", said other crazy things but I forgot.

The only compliments I've gotten are from classmates in my motorsports program, because they actually know a thing or two about cars. Probably the best one was from my instructor, who races MX-5 Cup. He said a 2016 Halo was pretty much his favorite modern car at the moment. Made me smile lol.

So I went to the gym yesterday and couldn't find parking Infront of it .so I went around and parked on the side. The only space open was right passed and alley. So I go on and park there and in middle of me parking looked into alley to make sure no cars where driving through it I notice this old black guy peeing in the alley lol I laughed and proceeded to park. So when I step out my car I see the guy he approaches me and complements me on the car. I was just standing with a wtf face and said thanks and walked away lol

Was pulling out of the Walmart parking lot the other day and this old guy walked by and gave me a thumbs up. Not sure if it was for the car or the fact that I'm also an old guy driving an FR-S.

Standard compliment/conversation I get when driving:

Guy: **looking at Toyota badge very puzzled** "What kinda Toyota is that?"
Me: Well, technically it's a Scion FR-S
Guy: "Why Toyota badges then?"
Me: Because Scion is owned by Toyota and everywhere else in the world, this car is branded as the Toyota GT86. I also like the Toyota emblem better.
Guy: **Still looking a little confused** "Is it fast, because it looks fast"
Me: Well it really depends on your definition of "fast". It's quick for sure and handles really well, but if you like V8 power, then it's probably slow to you. I find it to be moderately fast
Guy: "Well what kinda engine does it have? Is it a turbo?"
Me: It has a naturally aspirated 2.0L Subaru boxer engine
Guy: "Whoa, whoa, wait, Subaru?"
Me: Surprise, it actually has more Subaru parts than Scion or Toyota. The car was built as a joint venture between Toyota and Subaru. There's a Subaru version too, it's called the BRZ. Pretty much the same exact car, but with Subaru badges instead.
Guy: "Wait, now I'm confused, so what kinda car is it?

I try to explain a little bit, partly because I like to inform people, and partly because I get a real kick outta seeing how confused some people get hearing that my Scion FR-S with Toyota badges is actually a Subaru
