This is a great power and very cost effective for a standard car , especially considering if you flash back to stock ROM change oil and filter (to remove any evidence of E85 in oil) dealer is very unlikely to refuse any warantee work. only downside for me is availability/price of E85 in australia |

Also when the dealership reflashes the ECU it will completely wipe the ECU first, so there will be no trace of anything after the dealer reflash. Therefore it would be completely stock. Cheers, William Knose |

Is this a tune you would be comfortable releasing as a 'base map' for a car that is not local to you or would you want to detune it a bit?

Basically if you can find consistent E85 and always fill up near full you should be good. If you are running something a little different just let me know and we can adjust for it, not a problem. Cheers, William Knose |

Hi, As above unlikely they will find it if they are not looking for it. Other tuning systems leave little or no trace Was just making a general comment, car can be easily returned to "stock" as opposed to unbolting exhausts, header, intakes ect. Not talking about running a 20psi boost turbo kit punching a rod out the side of the block then putting it back to standard to try to claim warantee. Say I get a chirping fuel pump or similar, known warantee issue that I want fixed, I'd be better to flash to "stock" , run standard fuel and take back to dealer. If I front up with an E85 tune and E85 in the tank they will blame that in my experience and unlikely to repair the known issue. Last edited by steve99; 01-27-2014 at 12:29 AM. |

What about running a flex fuel tune if e85 is not always readily available?

Sorry for going a bit off topic...just wondering why many don't want to install a flex fuel kit?..is it the price or is there a potential high danger of some sort with it?..sorry for my noob questions...
