I've done 65 on the interstate in several inches of unplowed snow. However, I was the only one crazy enough to be out driving in the storm, so I was the only one on the road, lol. RALLY STAGE.

I also did 70 in a torrential downpour not too long ago, but that was because the trucks that didn't have to worry about hydroplaning we're doing 65 and every time I slowed down, they'd start passing me left and right which was even worse, lol. Michelin PSS FTW! Those tires are amazing in the wet.

I don't ask myself that question because I know why. It's thrilling. Some people fall asleep from boredom. I think a better question is why people driving extremely slow in poor conditions refuse to yield. When I see someone start following me closely I'm already looking for the shoulder. Which is what I expect others to do for me. If I ever find someone traveling close to my speed I'll slow down and give them plenty of room. But then living in a rural area is different than driving in a city.

I drive at a speed I feel safe. People who drive 5 mph on the highway with their 4 ways on should be the ones in question.
