Looking for an Impreza? Heres a L, LX, GL, RS. You want a performance model you say? Hey heres a WRX now in L, GL, and RS. Wow your a demanding one..more power? ok ok how about a WRX STi..but wait..you could have the WRX STi A or WRX STi A Type S. Perhaps your more into the WRX STi C...oh no your a racer you say? maybe a WRX STi C RA. Whats that? you want more performance from your stripped down racer? Heres a WRX STi C RA-R. Thanks for shopping, while your done check out the WRX STi S206 and the WRX STi ts. Can you imagine going to the dealer, putting all the trims side by side for 1 model year in 2000/2001 for the impreza in japan. You'd be choosing between nearly almost 15 different trims of the same chassis. Can you say headache? If anything id like to see a BRZ RS added the the current package line up.

My guess on the STI price is ~$5000-6000 increase across the entire lines. Please also make both M/T and A/T!

BTW I thought ~30% of the BRZ sold come with A/T? Which is a fairly large % for car like BRZ. |

OT... I have to disagree. The dual clutch transmissions are nothing like an automatic transmission with a torque converter. The rev-matched blips on the downshifts are awesome! The only downside is that some dual clutch applications don't like it when there is a small overlap between throttle & braking (when you are left foot braking).

If it shifts itself, it's automatic.

Exactly, I don't get the argument that because it has a clutch that is automatically operated that it's a manual transmission. You press a button, it shifts for you. No different than the ones with the torque converters do (except faster and with less power loss). Not saying that Dual Clutch transmissions are terrible or anything, they're just not manuals
