Best part of the whole car is it has DCCD but no traction control. Hella fun in the snow.

A pot still is less efficient and takes several runs to get super high alcohol content. You get more of the flavor of what you are distilling with an old fashioned pot still.

Now a column reflux still will give you high alcohol right off the bat. Easy to make one.

So in a bizarre lock down twist our local police department reported that there have been over 800 catalytic converter thefts in the last two weeks. Apparently all the cars just sitting in apartment parking lots are easy pickings.

It is amazing what the correct uniform does.

I've made beer, wine, and booze for years. I first started making beer in 1984.

That is rather bizarre. I guess you can get at it without setting off an alarm (on SUVs and trucks), and it's got some pretty pricey raw materials in it. But who would be buying these en masse? Wouldn't that raise some suspicion?

The cop on the radio says they will probably haul them off to someplace far enough away to not have been alerted and use fake or a shady partnered garage documentation to justify them.
He also went into pretty good detail on just how they choose the vehicles and cut them out.
I thought very nice of him to give a list of clear instructions on how to do it on public radio. Next week they will be trying to figure out why the number doubled all of sudden!

On an unrelated note does anybody have a cordless cut off saw I can borrow?

Most people don't know that very few name brand alcohols are made in the old fashioned way. The great majority are grain alcohol made with column stills, dilluted with distilled water to proper proof, with flavorings added.

Old methods have better taste, but mass production and profits rule.
