No, just saying I have a lot to do before I decide to go drifting in Japan.

Actually, if I ever get to Japan, my only interest would be eating.

Japan is on my "to do.." list, I have been tantalising close, South Korea, sadly never had the time to catch the short flight!

I recommend if you can swing it to aim for 3-4 weeks.
Less rushing around between places.

Pre COVID I went to Japan 5-6 times a year… never considered drifting there, but for a modest fee you can rent a costume and go kart to have a real life Mario kart tour through the streets of Tokyo at night… looks like a lot of fun. Don’t think I could rock Peach; perhaps Bowser?

That was one of my favorite bits from James May "Our Man in Japan" series.

I ran into a guy in the car club at the store today. He has a 1963 rolls. Anyway, we went to a bar downtown to have a beer and shoot the shit. When we walked in, we were the only ones there, and I noticed the liquor cabinets in the bar were locked. That's when today I learned about beer and wine only days in Idaho.

Under Idaho Code Section 23-307, “Days When Liquor Sales Are Prohibited,” it's illegal to sell liquor from any state liquor store or distributing station “On any Thanksgiving, Christmas or Memorial Day.”

i can understand christmas and thanksgiving, but i've known enough soldiers that have seen some shit that they NEED to go drinking on memorial day to remember their fallen, and not go entirely crazy.

I know! Why those 3 days? And why is beer and wine ok?

It is amazing how many states still have these silly laws. I was told, up till a couple years ago, it was illegal for bars to be open on election day.
