I get terrible MPG because I go WOT too often.

But when I am driving "normally" I'm in the high 30s. Really great stuff.

I've got a 4000ft climb over a 12mi road right down the street from me. Goes from 4000ft. to 8000ft. Beautiful drive

I spent the night in SLC once a decade or so ago. Beautiful. Never been to Provo, though.

Provo is a little weird. I've actually since moved a few miles away from Provo. But the area is great, and work is good. Forbes just gave our area the third best place for business in America. So between that and canyon carving in the BRZ, I'm pretty happy

This continues to be interesting as I do a few calculations... They suggest that in this scenario, the ESC/Phantom, actually has a 6.48% advantage in output, in the powerband (whp) between 2500-7000rpm. I did area calculations, based off of the hard points on this graph. (1930, invat. supercharger, 2055 ESC)

I decided to start out calculating the outputs on whp, because they looked closer than the torque curves. If someone else wants to slug out the torque comparison, I'm sure it will show a much larger advantage to the ESC.

This suggests to me that in daily driviing, the ESC, system would definitely be faster and more rewarding to drive. If you are using the car exclusively for track racing, and running the car at full boil for along time at a stretch, the mechanical supercharger may offer a slight advantage.

Thats what I calculated anyway...

Yep, saw that, but the new maps for the esc are MT only, so I'm hoping that I and the other ATs won't be left behind here

Sure hope not. He did say AT would come close after MT, so I hope it hits soon!

After not seeing it today, I'm removing the ESC for my regular dealer visit. I'll never be fraudulent, but don't want them taking notes in case I have an unrelated issue and trying to use the ESC against me

Perhaps my idea was a bit too simple. The 1-10v controller would have a mechanical means of interpreting what the petal position is. Based on this position the same apparatus would send a 1-10v signal to the controller that would basicly act as an interrupt between the phantom power supply and the dc motor. It would allow whatever the neccessary voltage to charge the motor. But, the phantom has its on controls that would conflict. If I remember correctly, it activates 100% at 70% throttle and recharges when not in use. Doesn't seem like a terribly complicated work around but, without having one right in front of me I'm most likely just talking out my Ass. Good luck to you guys though. Also, I'll be doing something like the phantom only nothing like the phantom (no electric motor). I hope to start fabrication in the next month or so. My end goal is to have a reliable means of boost capable of directly competing with tradition superchargers and turbos for around the same price as the phantom. It would be similar to the phantom in that is going to be a zero lag system but that's about it. Again, not building an electric supercharger or stealing anyone's idea. I believe mine is going to be the first of its kind. So if that sounds interesting, keep your eyes peeled.
