HAHAHAHAHAHAHA funny! They're too busy promoting other staffs into pointless whatever director positions. & sadly, I'm too far down the line to become next whatever director. It's becoming way too top heavy as is, don't need another pointless director title.
Also it's not only me, 6 other staff from my department are invited. Total of 7 staffs in my department won't be working for 2 hrs. Which doesn't sound that bad... but look this way, in average, we have 9 staffs are working per hr. 3 are usually doing desk work, rest are circulating materials. 6 staffs who circulate materials usually circulate 200~600 materials per hr. That's 1,200~3,600 materials per hr, so with this lunch, we'll lose 2,400~7,200 materials circulation. We're behind as is (+50,000 materials behind), if this lunch doesn't give us time to bitch at him, I'm making it to go order and going back to catch up on work. |

Remember, there is no such thing as a "free lunch". The lunch won't be a waste of time..

The facilities guy in the office next to mine is the guy that orders the lunches for any visits, training, meetings, etc. He always orders enough for himself, HR and me as well what is needed for the event. I get free lunches all the time!

Yes, but you don't attend the meeting so you are not getting a "free lunch" so to speak.. it's more like a "backhander" for "brown nosing" the FM guy...

You are "technically" getting a "free lunch" but it's not the colloquial meaning of a "free lunch".. You're obviously enjoying your "perk", just hope it's not recovered through taxes...

The whole colloquial saying of "there is no such thing as a free lunch" is invalid in this case since it is lunch and it is free.
