I grew up around it but never became licensed. My mom was a crazy daredevil so she taught me the fun stuff. @Tcoat has seen where it all happened.

My productivity for the afternoon is shot, and I'm hoping to take at least one of you with me.

Definitely agree on that order. RC models you have to transition your thinking based on whether the plane is coming towards you or away. I just can't think that fast.

It's always been a passion of mine since I was a kid. I started flying as hobby on the weekends and it turned into full on career, lol. I enjoy sailing though too. I don't have a boat but I have a friend who does and I joined his yacht club so maybe I'll find some more people to crew for too this summer. The U.S. is very friendly for being pilot compared to some countries. It's still an expensive hobby but you can go almost anywhere. I am in a flying club where 30 of us collectively own and operate 2 airplanes (used to be 3 but we sold our Mooney). It's a pretty inexpensive way to have access to airplanes. Cheaper than renting by the hour, and cheaper the l than owning one outright monthly. The private jets and turboprops I get paid to fly which is even better (except I don't get to pick when and where I go).

Same with RC cars. It is much harder than you would think.

Building aircraft from scratch is harder than all that.

And yes I've done all 4.

Our last dog was a wiener dog, chihuahua, Italian greyhound mix. He never chewed on furniture or anything, but he could chew any toy to nothing in minutes.

Once at a pet store the guy handed me a toy that was guaranteed indestructable. My dog had it in shreds in about 15 minutes. I put all the pieces in a bag and went back to the store. I dumped it on the counter and the guy says, "holy shit!" , opens the register and gives me my money back.

Watched through the final round. Some good drifting in the head to head races, but the ending was a little controversal with the "steering issues" with the ultimate winner. Must have thought it was a NASCAR race rather than Rally.
