Picked up a 2016 FR-S Raven on Friday. Sitting at 30 solid miles. Have a huge list for the car and growing. Lucky enough the car will barely see 4000 miles a year.

Hello guys, I just registered this weekend but have been lurking off and on for years, most notably the last few months.

I'm strongly considering snagging a used FRS/BRZ to replace my 2004 Z06.

Just make sure its the right car for you. A lot of guys buy the FRS/BRZ because its a "cool car" and because of the stigma (I guess would be the word?) that goes along with it only to find out they dont like the car as much as they thought they would. Its defiantly not for everyone but if you drive it and feel that special connection with it buy one!! If you drive it and it feels just like another car I would say maybe its not right for you.

I have driven a couple of them.

I love my Z06 but the problem is three fold 1) I rarely drive it, having owned it 3 years I've put just 1,400 miles on it. 2) Approaching the performance envelope on the street is basically impossible unless you have a death wish. 3) I planned to track the car some and consumables get expensive quickly.

The BRZ/FRS drive great, have fantastic feedback, you can ring out the motor on the street and not have to worry about hitting triple digit speeds in the matter of a few seconds. Consumables on the track are cheap, my wife will enjoy driving it (vette scares her), I can put a few k miles a year on it and not worry about value, rain, blah blah blah...

Am also considering a Cayman but fear I'd run into the same excuses to not drive it as I have with the Vette.

hahaha thats like my dad with is 93 ZR1 he never wants to drive it because of what it is.

If thats the case then I say go for it. One of the things I love about my FRS is that its only a $30k car so I can drive the piss out of it every day, drive it in the winter ect. I spend more time enjoying the car then worrying about it. Consumables are probably a lot cheaper then on your Z06 for sure haha! and your right its more fun to drive a slow car fast then a fast car slow for sure!

This is a weekend/1 day during the week car for us so I don't have to worry about the "rough" edges for daily driving

Took delivery Tuesday

I took delivery of my new red 2016 FRS this past Tuesday. I got married last September and my wife and I were fighting often about getting one. She would see me reading about the FRS/BRZ and kept telling me to buy one and make myself happy, while I kept delaying. I finally gave in and it's now ours. I was hoping to surprise her with it when picking her up from the airport recently but the car was a dealer trade and didn't make it here on time. She was excited to find out that I did get one and our sedan is now sitting not being driven

Hi guys. I'm from CA and just bought a 2015 Steel FRS with TRD options installed.

I owned a 2000 Trans Am before this and had joined a couple community forums and found this one in search of a new relevant one.

Big change over but I am loving this car.

It took over 6 years from the time I joined to officially get into an 86.

2015 Halo 6 spd and she's beautiful.

Now admittedly I wanted to get into a WRX. I love the boxer.

BUT, I got the best of both worlds. Toyota DNA and a boxer.

I'm happy

New here? Come say hi =)

Just joined the club. Traded in my bugeye WRX for a 6mt Whiteout 2014 FR-S last month. Picked it up used with 3,500mi for under $19k basically new with depreciation taken off.
I do miss boost but this car is really just as much fun stock. First mods to be done is getting the gps activated and the short shifter kit. Then to payoff loan and turbo it xD. Im actually surprised how well its done in the snow for me with pirelli sotozero winter tires. Hopefully it warms and i can put my pirelli nero summers on soon.

New member here. Just picked up a 2015 RS 1.0 #710. It's currently a light hit Total Loss that my shop is going to rebuild...the perfect reason to upgrade.

I own a collision shop and am planning light custom work....adding a mid-coat pearl to the yellow, black roof, and new 18" wheels/tires in a square setup.

Can't wait to get this thing done now to actually drive it outside of a parking lot.

This forum is great for ideas. A week here and I am hooked.
