I don't think the popo care too much about tint around here, unless its suspiciously dark or you either drive like a douchebag or do something else that would get their attention.
I've only ever got 1 tint ticket and that was because it was the better alternative between a speeding ticket and having tint. (I was pulled over for speeding and the cop gave me a ticket for the tint saying it would be cheaper than the speeding ticket). This was years ago, and Ive had tint on my car for about 7 years now. I don't remember how dark it was..lol I think it was 20% but seems like it was also lighter back then as well. I also remember a time I was in a buddy's M3, which had 5% limo tint all around and we pulled up to a stop light next to a cop car at night.....They didn't give us any attention. My buddy made sure to pull off the light at a normal pace and keep at the speed limit though as not appear wreckless/stunting lol. |

He probably pulled you over for the expired registration. You got off easy if all you got was a speeding and tint fine.
I dont like tint. Makes it harder to see out the car at night, which is when I do 90% of my hooning. Like to see whos coming.

As with anything owning and modifying a car is a slippery slope. Couldn't brake as deep as some of the Porsches and my dad's Caterham into the corners (although my braking capability was a lot better than most other cars). Was close to the slowest car on the straights (expected, but frustrating to come up to set of corners and not be able to keep my flow going when I catch up to people). Very happy with the overall handling and neutrality but car would be even faster with more tire under it (225s currently 245s would probably suit it best).

Still, be proud that you've taken the car to its limits and experienced exactly what it can and can't do. Most of us won't be doing that and will never know ourselves! |

Its a tough decision for me if you placed both cars side by side (Mazdaspeed). If you do get an NB thats not a Mazdaspeed, don't get the 6 speed. If you do, buy extra gearboxes, you will need them. Its junk. Or swap it out for a mazdaspeed 6 speed box (which is what I did, ultimately after the 2nd brand new box fucked up). I bought the FRS because it reminded me of the MX-5, only it seemed better to me.

If I do go with a NB it likely wont be a Mazdaspeed but I will probably either be building a high revving NA engine for it or else adding boost, but I fear I may end up staying with the BRZ anyway. |

Id keep the BRZ. Its new, break it in hard and enjoy it. The aftermarket is endless.

Hi guys,
I'm hoping someone can help me out with a favour. I'm in need of obtaining a postal address in Calgary or nearby. A post office box or something similar. Just need it for paperwork and such. I'll also occasionally (once a month) need the letters sent to wherever I am at the time; maybe NZ or Aus. I'll obviously pay for the post box and the cost to send items to me. And you can use the post box yourself too if you want. I can owe you favours (wink wink Lol) or maybe get you deals on TRD parts (I'm sponsored by trd Nz, who have full access to trd jp stuff) or whatever else. Hit me up if you can help a brudda out. Cheers Mike |
