Was at a gas station yesterday when a middle-aged guy approached me about my car. Told me he thought it looked great and started asking questions about it. Then another guy in his mid-20's pulled up in his SUV to pump gas, took notice of my car, then he started asking me questions too. You'd have thought I owned a Ferrari or something the way people were coming up to give comments on the car. I tried to explain it was pretty cheap and only had 200 hp, but that only made them more excited with the middle-aged dude suggesting aftermarket modifications to make it go faster.

Haha, anyway good to see regular folks getting excited about sports cars again. I've seen a few too many articles suggesting that people are losing their excitement for cars.

I have had my FR-S since June and in the last two weeks I have had four different people start a conversation about the car as I am leaving or getting back in the car. Every person has asked how I like the FR-S and they tell me they really like the looks of the car.

Had someone leaned on the car and dented the fender right above the 86 logo. Cost me $80 to fix. The impressions from the dent looks like someone's palm. Smdh.

Most people ask me how I like it and they have read so much about the car and the awards it has received. I tell them I traded out my '02 Camaro SS to drive this thing, that's how much fun it is and then they are really surprised.

Went to FIVE GUYS for lunch today and found a safe spot in the back of the restaurant to park my Whiteout. As I was walking into the restaurant I was a bit startled when I notice a riced out/dumped Civic come to an abrupt stop behind my car. 2 guys got out of the car and the driver literally started jumping and pointing at the car. His friend did a full walk around the car and just smiled with his hands on his head in astonishment like he just saw a unicorn. I couldn't help but chuckle a little bit and feel like a proud momma.

I had a good laugh yesterday. We had our pest control company send out a guy to do an annual termite inspection. He started with the outside of the house and then he asked if he could start inside with the garage first. I opened the garage door and I thought he was going to drop a load. It was the first FR-S he's ever seen. He had read about them, seen illustrations, etc. but hadn't seen one in the flesh. He spent the next half hour playing 20 questions. I'd be surprised if he doesn't buy one.

Yah, its a BRZ but here's my odd occurrence.

Sitting at a bar during happy hour with coworkers. Group of 3-4 people left, walked around the BRZ and came back in.

Had almost the exact same reaction today at my favorite Racetrac, stopping in for their Free Coffee Any Size week (I filled up my 64oz Racetrac cup, so I'm on a caffeine high today but I digress!)

I saw two guys at the pump eying Olivia as I pulled in. After I get in the store they run over to the car, do the hands on the head, twice around the car loop, and then run back to their car when they see me coming out. Actually the first decent reaction I've had in a while, I figured it was dying down.

One of the clerks at this particular store is a huge fan of the car, always asks me if I'm still liking it, and makes sure I know he'd be glad to take it off my hands if I ever want to give it away!

Couple days ago as i was pulling up to a red light an elderly gent stopped in the middle of the crosswalk, checked out my car for a few seconds then told me "Nice car, sounds tight!" while giving me the hang loose sign.

I was picking up chinese food the other night, and as I was walking away from my car after parking it I hear, "Do you love that car or what?" It was a RX-8 owner who had a few questions, it's great to meet someone who isn't afraid to talk to me about it. The only problem is that I could talk all day about it, lol.

#1 question I get:

"How do you like it?"

I always give the same answer. Simple, but it gets the point across:

"I love it."
