Yup. I'm probably going to just wrap mine. Or see if they offer some coating options.

They're offering coating pretty sure. Wrapping will decrease the life of the header.

Awhile back they said that the coating will be more than they thought, if I remember correctly.

@FT-86 SpeedFactory
I see that you guys didn't waste any time putting the Un-catted UEL header up for sale...How many are available, or are they just built upon order ? Hopefully the Catted UEL will be released, soon....because I need it, badly !!!

I have a new curiosity. Regardless of what I put on my car it will be getting a tune. I originally thought I wanted a catted UEL header because that's what it has stock, and I wanted no issues. People say that it will throw a CEL without a tune without a cat, but that's not an issue if you get it tuned, right? Is there any reason to get the catted version when you plan on tuning the car? Is there something negative about the function of a catless header? I may be interested in the catless version now.

In some states its illegal to remove any of the cats. If you live in one of these states, then a shop probably wont install it for you. Also, if you live in a state that requires emissions tests, then you may not pass. Other than that the only downside is noise. It *should* perform better than a catted variant.

I think I checked this and as far as I can remember, Kentucky has no emission laws. I'll definitely check again. And I don't mind if it's a little louder. I like the way the silver car sounds with the uncatted version so there shouldn't be a problem with the sound. I want that boxer rumble, but if my setup rasps I'll cry haha

We have done only stock with no tune. Time has been short to get back to the Dyno and do tune testing. We definitely will be and expect more power to be made. Hopefully we can get a nice break in the weather soon.

The stock shielding won't even come close to fitting. They have insulation in there and it's all the wrong shape anyway. No other sheilding will be provided or should be needed. If you wanted you could always add on the "stick on reflective stuff" to the oil pan, but we stay away from it.

Ceramic coating will also be offered. Still sourcing a good local place to have that done.

If you get a tune a catless one will be just fine. And if you have not cat, you will want a resonated front pipe and a resonated exhaust to keep the rasp out and the rumble rocking.

Will you guys be able to provide any MAF data or any volume changes in air flow?

Assuming someone has a tune for an sc kit, will a new tune be needed? I'm guessing not because this is intended as a bolt on setup requiring no special tune. If that is true, then the volume changes are so miner it essentially mirrors the stock header. Thanks!
