Lol @NickFRS

We all make mistakes bud.. I showed Darren how to do a 180 on a freeway onramp. LOL. One bent rim, with a replacement on the way, and I'm still smiling!

How much coolant did you let out of that coolant line?

I was prepared knowing it was going to puke everywhere, so as soon as I pulled the line off I was ready with the replacement line to swap on fast. I had to barely put any coolant in (did have to top it off though).

Anyone who hasn't done the install yet, make sure you are ready with the new line when replacing the stock coolant hose that attaches to the back of the block. Its on the driver side right by the brake fluid reservoir.

So I finally got off my butt and installed my boost gauge. Well on my first pull it jumped to 5psi like I was expecting but after 5k the boost keep growing till redline when it hit 10psi. It is making me wonder if my guage is off. I thought with the 75mm pulley it was suppose to max out at 7psi? Has anyone else installed a boost guage?

So jelly. This time Friday I should be good to go. Got my DW700s, DW 65c and Gates Racing belt sitting in front of me. My innovate kit arrived @Pure Automotive's shop yesterday. Let's GOOOOOO!

Interesting. Has anyone talked to Innovate about this?

Anyone else get a squealing noise from your belt if you wind it out and FFS into the next gear?

Since when does a lighter flywheel add more torque? Should be the opposite.
______

Wrt the 220lb/ft question, the gain should be a relatively constant arithmetic percentage for hp/tq relative to baseline figures for a PD system. PD is linear, not somewhat exponential in the way a turbo is. In other words, an expected 40% gain should be applied to the base hp and tq numbers.
______

So how is the immediate throttle response? I'm getting different readings/impressions here. Some say great, others say slow and mushy. I should be able to break traction the second I floor the throttle from a stop w/ all the nannies off. Can this kit do that or not?

I have to admit I was a bit worrisome about the intake plumbing of this kit snaking the intake all the way around to a relocated throttle plate. If there is any lag, I believe it would have to be because of the new piping and relocation.

What is the ID of the Innovate intake tubing compared to stock?

@Anaxilus - right now I don't have *immediate* throttle response if i'm low in rpms and theres load being emphasized, but my tuning isn't complete yet so I have yet to really put judgment on this area. I know my tuner is working on this so as of right now i'm not too worried unless it can't be fixed, but all signs point to yes as it being able to be figured out.

as far as the piping, its 3" (75mm)

No offense but there is a lot of wrong info in this post.

A lightened flywheel is the same as lightening your rims, pulleys or crankshaft etc. More torque will get to the tires because there is less rotational mass and thus the dyno will read higher trq.

The intake pipe does not contribute to slop or lag. Do you understand how fast this air is moving? Really really fast. It doesn't take a second to go from airbox to intake port... it takes fractions of a sec. Furthermore the device compressing air is mere inches away from the intake ports unlike in a turbocharged application. You will not be able to feel this "lag".

Any low end bogging is purely in the tune.

Up to 50-60 ft lbs more torque in the sub 3k zone. Huge difference.
