Because I've lived this before. I've experienced this issue many times. And it's frustrating to see other countries get the same but better equipped cars than American's. I'm sure you can understand that.

actually the tach is still white thankfully, it's just the lighting in the photos that makes it appear darker. this pic is from the reveal taken by motor trend

Crappy rice products? What a hell are you doing on a forum which is all about a car that will be modified in many different ways?!?! The whole SCION brand is all about MODS MODS MODS already from the factory or third paties.

TRD coilover set, shocks and struts,lowering springs, sway bar set, strut bar, quickshifter, performance exhaust and air filter, TRD big brake kit... these are all form < function accessories. Not race inspired cosmetic enhancements (RICE)
ALL available when you buy the car. Overpriced? Sure you can get an ebay strut bar third of the price and sway bar set a little bit cheaper but they don't have toyota warranty.

As I already said; premium head unit is available from scion for less than $500. Fog lights are also available for every scion. The only thing thats missing is the fancy dual zone AC... BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM; "the interior is FUED up and shitty as hell" LOL!

Put it this way: Toyota, Subaru will include some other head unit and foglights.... the car will cost $1000 more because of these products.
Scion does not include these in the FRS but you can get them for extra money that might bump up the scion's price right back up OR (!!!!) you can buy the car with the cheap stuff and buy cheaper (3rd party) fogs and much better NAVI system and still have some money left for some rope to hang yourself because you got no dualzone AC, and no heat for your ballz

I really hope the people at Toyota/Scion reads this forum/thread and consider changing the A/C controls back to the ones shown in Japan.
I am really disappointed in the cheap interior/crappy A/C controls/radio/ and the push button start.

I agree...people who want that stuff will not buy it later. It's too expensive. Scion knows people are pissed. They know what they showed looked like crap. They will probably go with two trim models.
What they showed was Toyota 86 equivalent low-spec. What we saw in tokoyo was equivalent high-spec.

Scion can still make it right...but if not...BRZ will roll.

If you install a japan spec headlight and your sunroof brakes down or your transmission falls apart you think they gonna fix that under warranty?
Whatever you modify you lose the warranty on that part. Thats it.

uhm... other people are whining about HIDS when you can get one for $50?!?! I didn't know you guys need HID and dual zone ac and ballz heater in a enthusiast driver's car....


JUST LETTING EVERYONE KNOW ( since most of you have no clue about this brand) that SCION will roll out a "Release Series" edition (in the first year after the model finally comes out) that will have extra stuff for more money. e.g.: Scion tC RS7 came out with different color, TRD lip kit, push start button ( keyless entry) and some other minor things.

just sayin' before most of you comes back crying that this is BS... you already bought a car and now this ones rolls out
