Greetings all!

Been lurking this forum for a while now, was incredibly helpful when deciding on my next car. Pulled the trigger and picked up a used 2013 raven FR-S on the weekend! Loving the vehicle so far!

Hello Everyone,

Traded in a 2014 Corolla S for a 2016 FR-S Halo (almost 2 weeks old now).

I love this car and how fun it is to drive, it is a great step up from the corolla.

Howdy, all..

After owning a '93 325i since 2003, putting over 180K miles on it (for a grand total of 243K since new), and loving every great-handlin', joyful drivin' minute of it, the CNY salt took it's toll. I looked around for almost an entire year for another one, but finding a 3 series that's manual, NOT AWD, in good shape for less than the price of your own small country seemed to be pretty much impossible. I was sad... I didn't want to replace my car with anything other than the same car only newer. Couldn't find one.

So.. searched for newer RWD manual cars available, and the FRS/BRZ twins showed up. Smaller than I was looking for, but I was intrigued. Test drove three, and was hooked. Just bought a "toyota certified" 2013 on Saturday, and .. well... let's just say I like it so much so far that letting the BMW go isn't quite as painful as I thought it would be.

Looking forward to learning more about my new baby, and getting as intimately acquainted with her, inside the cockpit and underneath the hood and chassis, as I was Franz (the BMW).

Best to all...

Barry

Hi all,
Bought a '16 FR-S after driving an '03 Celica for the last decade and 200k Miles. So far so good with the FR-S. We'll see how it handles in winter. I'll probably do some Autocross and maybe a track day in the spring. Installing fog lights and maybe some audio should keep me busy until then.

Welcome! Most in the colder climates will say that snow tires are a must on the FRS, while others scoff and say that their skill is more than sufficient...just be careful the first time out in it...

Hi Deaf,
Start here: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=96158
There is a whole section on FI. Once you wade through that any specific questions you have can be asked on the appropriate tech thread.
A word of caution though. If you truly are the "newb of newbs then FI may be a ways down the road for you. The very first thing you need to ask yourself is "why do I want/need FI?"

Hi Everyone,

Just ordered a white Toyota 86 GTS last week and looking at an early 2016 delivery. Very excited and have been following this car since 2012, this forum seems pretty active too which is great!
