Hello Everyone!

Hi Guys!

New to the forum and new to being an FR-S owner as well!

Picked up my 2013 Scion FR-S in White October 14th with 16k miles. Been falling more and more in love ever since, can't wait to see where she takes me in life Excited to start making memories. She's all stock except for an Invidia cat-back exhaust system.

Hello, Everyone!!

I am about to buy an FR-S and originally joined here to ask a few questions. But I finally found a competent dealer/saleswoman that could answer my questions about the BRZ which helped me decide to go with the FR-S (I think; the 2015 Subaru blue is really beautiful).

I was actually planning to buy an FR-S next year but my daily driver was totaled last week so rather than buying an interim car or a used car to drive until then, I decided I might as well buy now!

I have one last question not answered by the dealer:

Are the only differences between the 2015 and 2016 (besides colors) for the extra $400 MSRP is that the 2016 has a backup camera and upgraded stereo? Is the backup camera worth it? I know they are actually useful in a huge SUV but I dunno about these cars...

Oh, and I can't decide between blue or Halo... Decisions, decisions...

Wow can't believe this thread started in 2009 but anyways I'm the proud owner of a new 2016 FR-S just dropping by to say hi and I'm excited to explore all the opportunities this car affords me.

Yes the only real difference is the camera and head unit. And yes the camera would be totally worth it. Backing these things up can be quite a chore with the body style and the blind spots it creates.

Hello!

I'm new to posting on this site, but have been very excited to hear about everyone's experiences with their twins. I bought a 2015 FRS in Aug 2014 and enjoyed every minute of it. About a week and a half ago, I traded her in and picked up my 2016 HyperBlue BRZ. I'm having so much more fun with a 6 speed! I'm looking forward to many adventures with her. We just raced our first Autocross together last weekend. She performed better than my FRS but I still have some work ahead of me over the winter to get ready for next season. Any suggestions that aren't too costly?

I have a backup camera and it makes a difference. It's a bit low but nevertheless useful as hell.

Hi Jes,
Give a browse thorough here: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=96158

It may answer a pile of questions but if not at least you will be hooked up in the places where you can ask specifics.

Hey! Potential FR-S buyer here. If I do get it, I will be coming from a Automatic Corolla to a manual FR-S! Just wanted to hop on here and learn as much about the car.

Some camber bolts and an alignment is a good place to start. Also, upgraded brake pads and brake fluid can make a big difference without costing too much.

Greetings

Greetings,

I am a new proud owner of a '15 FR-S Steel (1 week old).

I can't stay out of this car. It's my first RWD and first MT (first one i've solely owned). I've got a lot of learning to do and a lot of experience to get before I feel comfortable, but this car feels like its guiding me in the right direction every step. I love it. I love driving this vehicle...gonna go drive now.

Just gotta find a name...
