I’ve been tempted to go for the Pedders hats, but camber bolts get me -1.5 up front which is, for my purposes, plenty.

to folks who do their own alignments. I’m too lazy (and old) for that. The car is lucky to get 5k miles a year. My tires will age out long before they wear out.

There’s a decent alignment shop in town. They’ll get it within a tenth of a degree for $100. That’s well within my sensory zone of indifference. For a street only car that sees limited use $100 every couple years is ok.

Those easy packs are nice. The little transfer pumps are no big deal, I just find they don't last that long but they are also like 8 bucks. You can also use a little compressed air to pressurize the bottle, one feed to trans one for compressed air in, to push the fluid out. Just be careful or it ends up EVERYWHERE and tastes terrible.

I am attracted to the OEM+ philosophy of the Pedders hats. I have a spare set of struts that I will slot if I want more bite. It's all just playing around anyhow. I'm wasting money insuring a vehicle that I barely drive. That's what I REALLY need to fix.

I'm excited about learning alignment. MSG and I live about an hour apart from each other. It's a great excuse to hang out for a day.

I should have the shop lit up and shelves built soon too to get stuff off the floor and cleared out.

Sounds like fun.

Edit. I’m sure you’ll post them without prompting, but I’m interested in your impressions.

It's been great for me in all conditions. Below freezing just after startup is a wee bit crunchier but way better than the factory fill IMO. I just replaced my trans and diff fluids with Amsoil again this winter.

I want to go a different route and Im open to try either AMSOIL or Redline. AMSOIL would cost around $115 and RL around $100, so I wouldn't mind either or.

Easy packs make it somewhat easier, but leave quite a bit in the package. I still recommend a pump or funnel if you don't want to waste a lot. I have a post in my build thread about them.

Wait... are you saying you did all that work without testing between jobs?

Maybe I should also put the wheels on and get it on the ground first too...
