Good day new people, hope you enjoy your new purchase

Just remember to stay safe out there, wouldn't want any of you to crash and... make my insurance rates go up (I kid wouldn't want you to get hurt, although please don't make my rates go up either)

Howdy! Proud owner of a stock 2013 Scion FR-S manual. Thought I would join the forums to see what other owners are up to.

I know. It is annoying. People think I am revving the car up with my TRD exhaust. In reality, the doofus looks like a total dumbass trying to race me while I cruise along. lol A fun car to drive nonetheless.

So, I'm going to stick out like a sore thumb, but here it is: I don't actually own an FRS/BRZ yet (yet being the key word). Waiting til I finish school to make sure my job lives up to what they told me (promotion and finally making a solid income), as well as saving up a little more than what I have (don't want to touch the rainy day fund for this). It'll be a second car, as I'll be having a little one towards the end of February, but I do intend to get one (a friend of mine, s0sl0w, got me addicted, and then test driving an FRS made it a borderline necessity that I buy one).

That said, I'm here, figured I'd get to learn a bit about the car as owners see it, maybe get to know a couple people in the area to meet up with on occasion once I do get it. As things stand, I'm probably about 6 or 7 months out (end of this winter, if all goes well).

tl;dr: Hi

Welcome to the forum!

I was on here for about 2 months before picking up the car. Also waited until I got a promotion. Cool to see you are researching before purchasing.

Lots of information here, you'll be busy for hours just scrolling around. Enjoy your time here~

Hey all, new here (obviously), just picked up a weekend toy that looks like it was someone's project before I grabbed it. Black powder coated wheels, Rev Works headers, Perrin cat back, LED running lights, alcantara shift boot, after market stereo, and the sound actuator plugged from what I can tell so far. Also a really shitty clear bra and horrible paint that is crying out for a clay barring; my fingers are raw from pulling the clear bra off this weekend!

Fun car so far. It's lots slower than the S4 but I always feel more of a passenger than a driver in the Audi, it's like I'm connected to the road in the FR-S. I can also say that I have never owned a car that wanted to go sideways as much as this one!

Yeah, yeah, I know, I'm really original when it comes to picking colours for my cars .

Thanks Honestly, I've been lusting after them since it came out. Then s0sl0w got a BRZ and I got to ride in it... Then, this past January I drive an FRS and scare the salesman because I tripled the speed limit on one stretch (75 in a 25, but there was nobody else around and it was a good length straight). Considering a new MX-5, but I like the idea of having some usable storage, and I generally prefer the twins' looks. Realistically, I have all the info I need to know I want one, but I'm always craving more :P

Welcome! I didn't own an FRS when I got on this board either! In fact, the car was only an early concept!

Let me tell you though, the wait was worth it.

give me crap, I don't care haha! I was gifted a 2016 FR-S in Halo for my 18th birthday. No I'm not gonna be one of those stereotypical teenagers who like to speed or anything. This is technically a gift from my dad who passed away recently, so I would want to take care of it as best as I can. No mods as of right now, still breaking it in but I will once it gets there. Love the car already and its only been 2 days of ownership. Hope to learn more on the forums.
