Umm wth are you talking about? I drive 2010 GC 2.0T M/T (with a '11 tranny that was swapped in).. I can beat a stock tc sooo easily. The figures don't really do the 2.0T justice. I have kept neck and neck with many a g35 on the highway. Even have beat some in the winter running 93 octane. Oh and my car is bone stock, no mods whatsoever. Base model.

Also, for all you guys saying you test drove a 2.0t GC and it was really slow... you know the ECU doesn't allow boost to be routed/made until the car is fully warmed up right? That may be the reason why you think the car is so slow. However I have test drove a GC auto before getting mine (stick), and I can say the stick is wayy better, despite having problems of its own. And even though it is a heavy car (which makes it perfectly fine for winter/snow regions) it can still handle pretty decently. Def enough so to have massive amounts of fun in it, like I do in my car.

Coming from a G35 I found the GC 2.0T slow. I've test driven all three model year GCs so far. Every time I get close to buying one but the god awful manual transmission in that car is such a huge turn off. The 2011+ cars with the not-so-fucking terrible transmissions were an improvement but it's still a total let down to an otherwise compelling car. I like the steering, I like the suspension, I like the 2.0T if you flash the ECU and I like the 2011+ interior. The 2013 looks great on the inside but that front bumper is my worst nightmare and it's going to show on the sales numbers.

Pray that there is a 2013+ version of the Vega bumper!

....what? I'm pretty sure there were some transitions in there linking corners together. Not only that, but the inputs given on the steering and throttle were very relaxed. That car under those conditions could easily be doing 3rd gear all day. To add to that, Ken Gushi isn't even close to the best of drivers...

Watching the GC video that you posted, it's clear that (as expected) the GC has plenty of power to swing the back end around, and it does it reasonably gracefully for some of the drifts. But for others it's unsettled as the car plows and shifts its heft somewhat inelegantly. That's not a criticism of the GC... just an observation that the car appears to behave exactly as one would expect, given its size and weight.

Having written that, it's also true that you're not going to be able drift a stock FT86 as easily as on a dry track as they were on that wet track a couple months back, and in the dry it's not going to be as smooth. Still it looks to have more poise than the GC (again, as expected).

Also noteworthy is that though it's common to associate drifting with long slides maintained by gobs of power (especially in motorsports), there are many other types of drifts.

The new GC is certain to have alot of horsepower. Stepped up the interior because before it was dismal and now the exterior went backwards. Veloster Turbo looks better and that isn't saying much.
