225/50 is actually sized appropriately for a 7" rim, and is what I run. If I went to a 7.5" or 8" rim, I'd also move to 245/45. And +30 is too much offset for my taste.

Both of you found amazing wheels. That's talent. Maybe I'm just not doing it correctly, or are both of you on the west coast? I would love to find a used set of forged 16" wheels. |

I'm running a set of 16x7 Speedline wheels for my winter setup.
The OE finish is shot due to neglect from the previous owner. They're currently dipped until I decide what I'm doing with them. |

I drive with 16x7 and 205/55-16 during winter. I *hate* them. It is like a whole new car again when I go back to 17x8 245/40-17 setup in spring.

My next big purchase is going to be a Wilwood WRX front brake kit - 12 more pounds dropped, per side. That should also be noticeable...

While they are different to drive on compared to low profile, the mushy winter tires you were on are a different animal. |
