I feel your pain, I experienced the same.....

Just get a 3/8 to hose barb adapter for the hose size. (The hose should say somewhere what size is it).

Yup, I will do that ... I just didn't know the correct size.

I guess that price is for the FULL kit, i.e. full exhaust, new port injectors and uprated fuel pump?

I have already had the new (turbo pipe, over pipe and cate pipe at any rate) exhaust fitted. Nest step is the billet turbo, together with uprated injectors and fuel pump. To be honest, I don't want to go for this before I have had my engine built with forged rods and pistons. Only have access to 99RON fuel (equal to US 94 octane).

$9000 seems like a lot, until you start to add up a basic kit + all the adds on their own.

Here's the Stage 3 kit from AVO's site:

Stage 3 Kit Hardware:
The AVO Stage 3 Kit utilizes all of the hardware of the Base Stage 1 kit, and adds on or upgrades to the following components:

AVO Billet Wheel Turbocharger
AVO 8psi Actuator
3-bar MAP Sensor

AVO 3" Turbo Discharge Pipe
AVO 3" Ceramic Coated Cross-over Pipe
AVO 3" Stainless Steel Front Pipe with 5" Metal Cat
AVO 3" Stainless Steel Cat-back Exhaust
AVO High-flow Injectors
AVO Fuel Pump
Stage 3 Base Map [EcuTEK]
EcuTEK License and Cable are sold separately.

EDIT: @Sportsguy83 beat me to it

Still for $9000 I would hope it would come with EcuTek License and Cable plus some AVO Lube. You know, to make sure the header flanges seal.

in my honest, humble and educated opinion it is a lot even with all offered.

I know still it is a great value to a lot of people looking for unique features like turbo placement, UEL, etc.

I totally agree about the license and cable part.

And I think you guys are right about the pricing after looking at it a bit closer....

Standard Stage 1 Kit: $4400
AVO Billet Wheel Turbocharger:
AVO 8psi Actuator : nil, because it's replacing a 5 psi actuator but I"ll use $150
3-bar MAP Sensor: $100
AVO Adjustable BOV: $200
AVO Breather Tank for Turbo Models: $270
AVO 3" Turbo Discharge Pipe: $300?
AVO 3" Ceramic Coated Cross-over Pipe: $450? (their 2.5" is $350 I believe)
AVO 3" Stainless Steel Front Pipe with 5" Metal Cat: $560 since it's catted
AVO 3" Stainless Steel Cat-back Exhaust: $1350
AVO High-flow Injectors: $350?
AVO Fuel Pump: $200?

Some of them are guesses since the individual product isn't on AVO's site, but if you tally them up, it comes to $8,330 by my best guess. The only cost I didn't include is the upgraded billet wheel. I doubt that it's $670 on it's own, but even if it was, that would mean that there is $0 savings for ordering as an entire package. I guess it's still a good option for someone that wants a good "turn key" stage 3 system for their stock FR-S/BRZ.

After license, cable, and conversion to CAD funds, that would put this kit at $11,300 for me LOL

It's the fuel injectors and fuel pump that adds the most on the Stage 3.

You can get most of the Stage 3 by getting the Stage 2 Billet Turbo option, that will add on the 3" turbo discharge pipe, 3" crossover, and 3" front pipe and everything else from the Stage 3 except for the fuel pump, injectors, and 3" catback. The "Tuner" option, as you will, for $6600 with the catted front pipe, and $6395.00 without.
