Hi all. New guy from Southern California. Took delivery of a 2015 Halo FR-S 6-Speed on the 14th. Much more fun to drive than my old Sentra! I also have a Kawasaki Ninja 300 mostly for commuting. I have a decent amount of knowledge on this car (HPFP crickets..) but if I have one immediate question it's this: How would I run my OEM fog lights independent of the headlights? I would use them as an extension of my DRLs for visibility purposes.

Thanks for having me and hope to make many new friends here! This is a pic of my Cortana Name: uploadfromtaptalk1437239157469.jpg

Welcome! She purty. No answer for you but maybe try posting in the Cosmetic/Lighting/BlahBlah... section. I bet you'll get some love.

Hello All!

I'm excited to be apart of this amazing club, after not ha of lurking, and indecisive test runs from an Si to a Datsun and a Supra, I've decided to pick up my Beauty, she's a Pearl White 2013 Scion FR-S with 26K miles. All stock. I fell in love the first day I've already compiled a list of future mods starting off with cosmetics, and new coilovers (PBM). This is a really great forum, I've read most of the information I have on this car from here. Well I can't wait to start with the mods and again I'm glad I'm apart of this forum, hope to be as active in posting as I am in lurking!

Cya!

Hello and thank for the add on the forum!

I don't own an FR-S at the moment but am sold on one.

This is my current ride

SO at first my plan was to get an FR-S and do some forced induction for a fun DD/WW.

Now I race my Tacoma and will be doing an LS swap on it in the near future. now that leaves my 4.0L 1GR-FE 260HP engine laying around not getting used. people are reliably boosting their 1GRs to 350-400HP. Swapping that into the FR-S is an idea that Im going to do more research on.

New Scion 2016 FR-S Owner!

I couldn't be more pleased to own such an amazing tribute car! My first ever drift was in an AE86, then a Nissan 240Z but for the past 8 years I have owned a Mazda RX-8. I loved this car so much but eventually like most rotary's the engine finally gave and I was stuck with the hard decision of replacing it for another 100,000 or getting a new car. I think I made the right decision, but feel free to help me feel even better about this new move.

So far, I miss a lot of the luxury features of my car(leather, heated seats, sunroof, subwoofer, 6 CD changer, Sirius XM, HID's, etc) but after looking at Toyota of Japan's website it appears the JDM market gets all kinds of tweaks and mods that make this car a custom fit for any driver.

Owning a 2016 comes with it's own set of perks, new audio system, new 7" touch screen and a backup camera. But I guess I didn't realize when I bought it that the steering wheel is the Urethane wheel from the G series in japan... this is the el cheapo model steering wheel. Where as the 2013 and BRZ's come with the leather or even more desirable leather/Alcanteza wheel (in the limited)

The car handles well and I have already put over 1000 miles on in just 1 week of ownership. I have really enjoyed every turn with this car and the instant response of having such a light car!

Anyway, here are a few photos and I should also say, I very much look forward to chatting with all of you FR-S owners out there, I have been admiring many of your photos and especially the shift knobs over the day just waiting to make this first post!

Hey,
New member here looking to make the jump to the FRS. I currently own a RSX-S but she's getting up there in age with 195k+ miles! Motor is still strong and body is OK though sorry to say the midwest winters/salt is starting to show on the body if you look closely.

I've learn a lot already and I know I have much more to learn when I get my FRS (in white hopefully) but I look forward to getting to know everyone as well as contributing to the community.
