I brought mine to my best friend's place to show off and now he wants one. And at least two mutual friends want one now. I'm pretty sure they're all at least a little jealous. I'm loving all the attention.

I also saw a black FR-S in a Wal-mart parking lot. He revved it up as he went past and I waved so he came back around to talk to us about it. He warned me about playing with the electronic nannies and I whole-heartedly agreed that I wouldn't be turning them of any time soon. His plastidipped wheels and fender badges looked good too.

Yeah, right - that's like having your mom in the car beside you with her hand on the wheel.

I've had people chase me down I66 asking me to pull over just so that can look at the car.

Or people revving their cars when they come close like that one guy in his yellow FJ (IF YOU ARE IN THIS FORUM) asking for a race when waiting on a red light at 2 AM.

I got this car to quadruple my kitty income, instead I get something else.

He wasn't cool about it at all. He seemed like he felt it was his right to do it because the top was down. He seemed pissed I even asked why he was trying to open my door. I think becuase I am in Orlando tourists think everything is an attraction. Plus I don't think any parent would let there 6 year old get in a 2 seater with a stranger, at least I hope not.

Well that's a different matter completely; his attitude would be key and in that case I would have told him to scram, too. And yeah, I wouldn't expect any parent to accept that offer, but I would have offered all the same just to be friendly ... if he would have been friendly himself :P

Finally had my first encounter with someone that wanted to talk about my car. A guy at the gas station tonight, driving a pretty nice looking mustang talked to me a bit. He started by asking how I liked it, to which I replied that I loved it, and thought it was an awesome car. We talked while pumping gas, how long I had it, auto vs. manual. Then he asked if I was going to do anything to the engine. When I said it was a lease, but I might do something in the future, he said, "It'll be worth it! Definitely worth it."

Still get people that talk to me at gas stations. It's such a relief when people understand it's not that fast of a car in a straight line. lol.....

Had a father (with a kid ~10 years old) shout out at me in a parking lot saying he liked the car

My boss wanted to get a nice and full look at the car

The best one:
I was driving from work to my parents' house last night and I was on a 2 lane road (both directions), in the right lane. I start going 5mph over the limit and get in the left lane to pass and a lifted truck comes barreling down the road from farther behind me (he had obviously sped up once I got into the left lane...). There's now traffic so I get into the right lane. He gets next to me (I see he's in a ~2000 dodge ram 3500), matches my speed, downshifts and attempts to "take off" to do a flyby. I say attempt because his truck just made so much noise and barely was much farther in front of me.... We get to a stop light and i get behind him because the left lane has much less cars in it. He then starts revving his engine. The light turns green, he waits for the car in front to gain distance, then does a burnout. That honestly made my trip worth it despite a traffic jam that doubled the time of my trip. lol

I realized today that older people and by older people I mean senior citizens seem to be the most drawn to my car... A gentleman in an 80's caddy stopped at auto zone while I was drying my car to tell me how neat the shape was then as I was waxing it just now an elderly woman walked by and really liked the color... I've had a few others comment on it as well.. Didn't think this car would attract the elderly not that it's a bad thing just wasn't expecting it

Considering it looks A LOT like the Toyota 2000GT from the 60's and was used in a Bond film...I'm sure it is safe to assume most of the people from that era would be pleasantly entertained by the FR-S/BRZ/GT86.

Went to a five star resort the other day for work. Valet guys came rushing to the car asking what it was. When I came back out the car was parked out front next to some other sports cars. The valet kid said he would prefer mine over the others.

I get a lot of people trying to incite a race, it's rather annoying. I wish it was just people wanting to talking instead, it does get a lot of looks though.

I get a lot of other owners pulling over to check it out. Other than that, its mostly people not knowing what the car is. My wife drove it once and another women apparently thought it was an exotic. heh

Yesterday evening, a couple of guys (I'm thinking in a previous generation S4 or A4 with blacked-out wheels) were besides me right as I pulled up to a signal.

They honked to get my attention, and I rolled down my window... They were pretty enthusiastic, and asked me how I liked my car. I told them that it was a beautiful car to drive. They replied back to see if I'd want to go for 'it' when the light would turn green. I told them that they had the power advantage and that they'd win anyway... And that I actually take my car to the track to have my fun, and that my car was more of a momentum / cornering sports car...

They were pretty confused afterwards, but the driver bragged about his AWD advantage at the end of the short conversation. I took a different route and gave a goodbye wave.

I love AWD... in the snow. Otherwise, I prefer RWD. ^_^
