My dad's manager was right, Scion gave him the pricing almost 3-4 weeks ago so looks like everything is going as planned.
24930 what?

This is about what I expected...
Now we can hope that the BRZ Lim is $28.5ish!

They've been saying "20's" for ever and ever. The fact that this car is even 24,200 is amazing considering how much buzz it has.
Do I wish it was cheaper? Yes. Do I think it's overpriced? No. |

My dealership received that same document. My Scion manager sent me a text with all the same info. I was off today, but I'll be logging into Dealer Daily tomorrow to see what I can find.
Pricing to me seems fine and inline with what has been said the last few months. Not surprised at all. ![]() For the people that are saying that since it's not $22-23k like they were "wishing", and they can't afford it now, I don't think you should have bought it at $22-23k. $1-2k is not that much more when considering you are spending $20k+ so it shouldn't be a deal breaker. It seems that many people haven't learned any lessons from the past few years by stretching their budgets so thin, when something unexpected happens, financial hell breaks loose. ![]() Now if the BRZ comes in at just a bit more and it's a better value, then by all means, it would make sense to go the Suby route. I highly doubt that they will cannibalize Scion sales by pricing it too close. It will be priced accordingly for the extra equipment. If you feel the price is too high for the FRS, I'd say make that judgment AFTER seeing & driving one. If you don't see the value then, by all means buy something else. We all work hard for our money and want to feel that we made a good decision that we are going to be satisfied with especially when it comes to a major purchase like a vehicle. *SPECULATION ALERT* I think if sales of the FRS are successful, Toyota will bring the GT86 to the US for MY 2015. I bet there would be a lot of FRS owners trading in for GT86. What is the purpose of the Scion brand again...........yup, that's right....they got you to buy another car from them (Toyota). */SPECULATION ALERT* Disclaimer - I've been with Toyota since 3/22/02 so tomorrow marks 10 years with Toyota. I've been with Scion since October of 2005 when my dealership built a new facility and added the Scion franchise. ![]() Ruskymx :happy0180: |

I knew something was suspicious , when Jack Hollis kept saying "A sports car for under 30k!"
I always wondered why he didn't say under 25k. |

Also, the question is... Why does Scion have pics of the model with the DRL and HIDs still on their site? Are they going to release it as options?
