My recommendation is measure it and order a slightly smaller one or find a shop that has them locally and get the next smaller T bolt clamp for that hose. Also, make sure that the pipe is far enough into the coupler that the clamp is behind the bead rolled portion of the pipe.
Is that what u did to urs?

Nevermind, I was looking at it wrong. That is the brake booster hose that you teed into which is correct. One end goes to the brake booster and the other end goes into the back of the intake manifold.

I have only replaced one T bolt clamp that I broke by tighening too much. I do make sure that my pipes are pushed well into the couplers and place the T clamps at the end of the coupler so that it is after the bead rolled in the pipe.

So, haven't been able to do pulls on the new tune file. Will do it this weekend. In the meantime, got a new tool to do pulls safer...

@King Tut, do you have one? I was reading up FL laws, and they made it illegal to put anything in the windshield so they can ticket you for having it in the windshield (So ironic when the Sunpass attaches to the windshield but oh well, another cash grab). If you have one, where do you have it attached?

I didnt know that...but most make a sun visor attachment that you can use. I have mine in the windshield though and have had no problems for the last 3 years.

Sun visor attachment is a great idea. I bought the Invisicord to hot plug it to the Auto dimming mirror, so don't know if the cord will be long enough but I'll look into it. I think in 95% of occasions, the cop will not care and won't ticket you up but I'm sure there is always THAT COP that will give it. It's a $114 ticket from what I've read. Have you been stopped while having it?

I've been pulled over once since getting it (4 years) ...not in florida..in alabama. I was passing him on the highway and the detector didnt pick it up until i was just pulling in front of him. He let me off with a warning and suggested that i take it down.

You can extend the cord (invisicord or any other really) pretty easily with just minor soldering skills, some cable from radioshack, and some heatshrink. But it is definitely easier to not have to do that if possible.

It's just a cash grab. Let's keep liberals happy keeping detectors legal, but let's get them on this other side of the law. It has very little if anything to do with safety.
