Weird. Do you have to purchase the catalog otherwise?

Can't purchase. It's a status thing for customers. Some manufacturers add value by providing technical references for their products. The Unbrako book, for instance.

Not sure how but I got on the list about 25 years ago and get a new one every time they update. It even followed me when I changed employers. I just pass them on to Maintenance since I know I can grab it when there is a need and they use it far, far, FAR more than I do anymore.

I could go on for way too long about it. Generally speaking if the extent of a security program is to rely on the employees to not click sketchy links or find creative ways to get around basic security controls because they really want to play CoD without paying for it, that security practice has failed.

I want to know what ERP software they use. I can walk over and fax my PO, and have an acknowledgement in my email by the time I get to my desk 10 ft away.

Never really thought about it before but since I don't personally order anything just HOW did they know when I changed employers?
Do they have a stalking division?

Me: Send me a hard copy, please, Carr.
Carr: I'm sorry, Ultra. I can't do that.
Me: Ok, fine. I'll use the online catalog.
Carr: Would you like me to sing a song?
