I just joined the forum today, finally put a deposit down on Saturday on a BRZ. Ignition Red, Limited, Manual. I just got the floor mats, upgraded rearview and dome lights for accessories, I'm not really into all the extra aero pieces. I did talk to the salesman about whether they drilled the bumper when they got it, and he said most WRX buyers preferred to put the front plate on the tow hook mount instead. So at least they're aware of that issue.

The dealer's next order goes in on Nov 10, and they say it would arrive around the end of December, early January. That means I would have to immediately install a set of wheels and tires before even driving it off the lot. I'm debating on pushing back the order 2 months to receive it in March so I can push off the tires until next year. But that's still a gamble here in Connecticut.

I think Baltimore is only for the mid-Atlantic. These are the ports that Subaru uses as far as I know (counter-clockwise starting from the west):

Vancouver, WA
Richmond, CA
Brunswick, GA
Baltimore
Davisville, RI

Interesting. I am near Vancouver, Wa and waiting on the GR. Might be favorable for my wait time. Might. Maybe.

Random question, do the GR86 come through the Subaru ports as well? Or do they get distributed to Toyota in shipping in Japan and then goes to a Toyota port in the USA?

I was wondering about that myself. It would seem to make more sense to ship the cars from the factory to a Toyota port in Japan rather than figure it out in the US. Unless they share ports here.

i stopped at my dealer tonight to pick up the brochure, they said let me check on your order. he came back with my vin number
