For those who order metal prints on Adoramapix; is uploading a jpg file good enough?
Because there's no way I can make my TIFF file smaller than 60 mb, and I don't know if jpg defects would show up on a 8x12 print

With minimal compression, it should be fine. If it's good at 100% on screen, it will be better on print.

jpeg is fine as long as the resolution is high and the compression is minimal, as Maxime said. You'll end up losing too much detail trying to get an uncompressed image to fit the filesize limit.

So, I finally pulled the trigger on the 6D with 24-105mm L lens. I've only taken a few pics but they are phenomenal quality. I can tell the huge quality difference from the APSC sensor I had before. I'm waiting for a clear night to take some night shots and explore the low light capabilities of this camera.

Also - i get a year free of Photoshop Cloud so let me know if you guys recommend any tutorials for photoshop for where to begin. Thanks.

Nice! Lucky you.
I'd say to just take a picture, and use all the tools on it to see how it works. It's tricky at first, but I think you can pick it up pretty quickly!

As I understand it, the L lenses are the Canon equivalent to Nikon's golden ring, right? If that's the case, congratulations for stepping up in gear!
Remember the photographer makes the pictures - not the gear!

You should use Lightroom. If you only have Photoshop, you can mostly use the Adobe RAW converter which works like Lightroom developer module.

Different things work for different people. It's not because it's how you work that that's how it should be for everyone.

I'd suggest to try them both and see which one does what. Nothing is more fun than the learning curve!
