Some quick charts I threw together, playin' in excel. (edit: fixed the yoy inc./(dec.))

You know, seeing those excel charts on the sales numbers. The number of sales from for the FRS are consistent on a month-to-month basis.

Same goes for the BRZ, but at a much lower (and declining) rate. Which leads me to believe that Subaru might not want to keep going on this partnership.

That's just my opinion now, let's not get carried away and make this official news like some have been doing posting new threads...

Yep, I know my dealership had an embargo for when they were allowed to sell the FR-S, and the date was June 1, 2012. I'm sure some dealerships received their allocation a week before so they reported the sale on June 1 to get around the embargo.

They also show all the First 86 as sold in May. I know for a fact that the one in North Canton, Ohio was still on the lot in September.

And not all of them were purchased by the person in the program, so I'm pretty sure Toyota playing with that number. As I recall there were a few of the First86 that ended up not buying the car and as far as I know they just went to dealer inventory.

It doesn't tell us anything we don't already know but I found it of some interest.

When I first test drove a FR-S back in early 2013 my first impressions were great handling, underpowered, and overpriced when adding TN's $600. bs dealer doc fee and 9.75% sales tax. But I really liked the car, so I waited for a low mileage 2013 used FR-S and found one in early 2014 for <$20K. I now find its power more than adequate.

What these articles have not considered is the used car market. There are a lot of us out there that have purchased, or will purchase a used FR-S or BRZ.

Yep, used twins are the new twins biggest competitor. That will remain the case until they do some kind of major styling face lift that changes the styling enough that you can tell a new one from a used one at a glance.

As you said, these are great cars at under $20K and I have seen a couple clean title ones for sale for under $17K now.
