My boss asked me if I'm done w certain project. I told her, I'm still catching up on all the projects while I was gone. She didn't get why I'm still doing it (I'm bout 3 days behind on that project), even though I've assigned coworkers work on it. I replied none of em did it while I was gone... that including her. She just reply back saying "Oh, I forgot about that." and went on her way... SMH

Stopped by the store this morning on the way to work. Walked out to see a lady on the far side of the parking lot dropping a deuce

Unfortunately, I think your experience is common.

While I was at a trade show, coworkers were supposed to check my email for new PO's. A week later when I got back; a bunch of Purchase Orders waiting to be accepted in my email. Disappointing.

I would suggest to you and @ichitaka05 designate a second in command (one person) while you are absent and then hold them accountable.

I have found that leaving responsibility to a "group" doesn't work real well.

FYI I didn't ask her to do it for me, she volunteered. I was gonna ask someone else to do it (prob other coworker wouldn't of done it either). So either way lose lose situation. Currently, my boss is waiting for my report before she need to talk w her boss. Welp, she gonna wait til my lunch break is over, if she can't wait, she can do it herself. Cuz technically, it's HER job... but sadly it takes her almost all day to do the report & don't think Assistant Director gonna wait end of the day for this report lol

I would... except there a tiny problem. I’m doing 3 full time & 2 part time staff’s plus few boss & supervisor’s work by myself, so it’s kinda hard to have a designated a second in command staff, cuz no one in my department can do it all my work. Hell, they can’t even do 10% of my work. So if I die or left, they’re screwed... LITERALLY

It's situations like this that make me look for a new job. Leave them to their hell.

Thanksgully, Director leaves 2~4yrs, so if I don’t like the Director, just wait it out til he/she leaves... but there was one point, I was looking into different job, cuz this crazy Director was fucking things up badly

This is the reason I left my job the first time. Couldn't take a day off without being attached to my phone, doing 10 different things at once with no one else to cover for me. Don't know how I stuck it out so many years.

it's amazing what people will deal with just because they are familiar with it instead of take a chance on an unknown that might be better.
