New here & just wanted to claim my space on the welcome page. Love the look of the FRS, but I'm still on stand by waiting for a more powerful engine for it. Maybe I'll wait to buy a 2jzgte swapped one.
My fun car

Hi everyone!
Just recently brought home my 2015 Halo FR-S 6MT... which also happens to be my first ever new car purchase! After owning well-used cars my whole life, I finally decided to treat myself to something that I can focus on driving vs wrenching on. Currently suffering through the cruel and unusual punishment that is the 4,000 rpm limit during the first 1,000 mile break-in with plans to celebrate with an autox at 1,001 miles! |

Hey everyone,
Just dropped in to say hello. Currently driving a 2013 FRS 6MT, located in the Northern Virginia area. Looking to find some other FRS/BRZ owners in the area, I'm also a professional photographer so, if you're in the area and need shots of your car/ driving shots for free hit me up. Cheers! |

First off, Happy May 4th!!! Well I'm new here, dnt really know wht to say so I guess I'll say how I got here lol I've had 2 cars b4 the one I currently drive. First was a 2013 Hyundai Elantra, it was retired Oct/2014 after they rear ended me on the frwy. Second, after being denied a Genesis Coupe , I signed a deal for 2015 Hyundai Elantra tht following month in Nov. Sadly tht one was put dwn Feb/2015 after being hijacked in Highland Park by some junkie. Worst experience ever!! Buuut yeaaaa eventually on March 18, 2015 I signed the the deal for my bby, 2015 BRZ Limited ![]() Haven't done much to him at all but I do have a couple/a lot of plans

New here from Missouri. I'm soon going to be in the market for a new commuter car and was looking for something that's actually fun to drive for a change. As I drive 150 miles a day to get to work I was also wanting something that gets decent gas mileage. my current cars consist of my little 2002 Focus, a 95 Trans Am convertible that gets horrible gas mileage and is uncomfortable to ride in, an f 150 which is just not practical for a long distance commuter vehicle either and the wife's Lincoln MKX which I can't stand. my daughter will be going to college this fall and she's taking the focus which means I need to find a new commuter car. looking back on the cars I had that were actually fun to drive I can only remember two. A 1973 Lancia Fulvia that I tore through the winding roads of Sicily in and a 1986 Toyota Celica that grip the road like it was on rails. both of these cars did not have a lot of horsepower but were way more fun than any of the other cars I've had with much more power. Some of the other cars I have looked at lately are the new Mustang Eco, which is nice but not really what I'm after (Lots of power but not really the fun driving I'm looking for). The Juke, but I just didn't care for the interior. The new WRX and the Genesis. I still haven't test drove a Genesis or the FRS yet but every time I research it keeps coming back to the FRS and the BRZ as being the fun vehicles to drive. So I thought I might poke around in here for a while and get a better understanding of this little car.

![]() Where in Missouri to you live/work that requires a 150 mile round trip to work and back ??...... ![]() I lived in St Peters for about 7 years. Let's see, so, you are looking for a dependable, fun to drive, relatively economical, commute car......hmmmm. I'd suggest a FR-S/BRZ or a Miata. (save up for some good snow tires for winter) humfrz |

I live outside Warrensburg and work in olathe. I have a 4X4 for snowy days and unless they made a miata bigger, I'm to tall for it.

Newbie here, thank you for accepting me into the forum, hope to meet fellow FRS/BRZ enthusiast and share experiences/knowledge. Love this car, extremely nimble, lightweight, quick get up, nice interior. First mod is going to be an oil change and an extreme detail. This is the wifey's DD but she wants me to do the full mock up on her. Here she is parked next to my Nizzy.

DANG, that commute is 150 miles EACH WAY! Have you considered a small, fixed wing airplane .... ?? If you're tallish, a miata may be a bit tight. A FR-S/BRZ should work for you .... ![]() humfrz |

It's 77.3 miles each way. Not all that bad.
