With the powder coat you guys have, you could always just try sticking the gopro right to the diffuser. Just make sure you safety tie it to something solid and above the diffuser, like an exhaust hanger or something.

Mine won't stick with the coating on my diffuser.

In regards to the flex, I don't think it would. If it was flexing up and down with the wind, I suspect it would create that wobbly sheet metal noise.

I'll see about asking someone in my run group to glance at it on the back straight to check for any signs of flex or movement during a session this weekend. I just don't feel comfortable putting it under the car or on the diffuser itself somehow. I've almost ran over and possibly punctured a tire on a couple stray GoPros that were mounted insecurely this year on track. Don't wanna be that guy.

I hear you on that. I am actually anti-GoPro guy. I don't know whether it will flex or not, but I was just thinking it would be interesting to see.

Just gotta make sure it's tied off, so if the suction cup fails it will not fall out.

I've had people follow and watch for a few miles at 100mph, they reported no movement.

Why is that? Just curious. I like being able to review footage and critique my driving after some track time.

Because at least for track days I prefer a good in cabin mount with a cheaper better alternate camera. You can have a great setup for half the price of that little box with no LCD or features.

Ohh ok, so you're not anti-camera, lol.

Yeah it's not the cheapest but it's a big step up from what I used to have in the 944 S2

240P FTL! It was an old tape drive camera because the HDD's at the time would skip and jump and make unwatchable footage due to the vibrations. Flash memory changed all that!

The GoPro app for Android very recently just stopped sucking terribly and you can use it to actively see through the camera lens and start/stop/change settings as necessary which is kinda neat.

I agree that the new App is nice if you buy the newer expensive GoPros. I have less than $150 invested in my current setup and have multiple batteries and a great wall or car charger for the batteries. It has an LCD on it so I can easily make sure it is aimed correctly when I install it on my roll cage mount in my SpecE30. I think the 720P output it provides is just as clear as any 720P GoPro footage. Part of it is that I am kind of anti-mainstream. I also felt like my Windows Mobile phone could do everything and more than the iPhone when it first came out.

Good enough for me. I won't worry about it flexing up and hitting my exhaust.

Nah, more of a chance of the exhaust shaking and hitting the diffuser. If you don't have the urethane hangers, I recommend them from @PERRIN.

I have the OEM rubber ones, but the way the Greddy Evo mounts, it is really tight fit. I remember thinking I might not be able to get it on the OEM hangers. I can barely move it at all by grapping the tip and tugging on it.

I wish mine stopped sucking.
Mine has been a pita. It just stops recording by itself after 8 seconds...not sure if that has anything to do with the android app.
Battery life with the wi-fi is horrible.
I always carry 3 extra batteries with me for ONE track day. My last gopro...I was good with one battery.
